GRID Autosport Crashes, Leaks, Errors, and Issues to Race Right On Past
GRID Autosport is
one of the newest PC racing game to hit the market, but like any other game –
it’s not perfect. Crashes are frustrating especially when you are in the middle
of a big race and 2.5 seconds away from the finish line. How about when you are
trying to join a friend in multiplayer and the game sends an error? There are
fixes to everything my fellow gamers, and let’s begin zooming through each
problem.
1)
One of the main problems you would much rather
race past is the screen freezing while the game still continues to play on in
the background. This could be rather tedious and here is the way to fix it:
·
Half the time all the problem is – is the
Logitech keyboard. Replacing the Logitech keyboard will cancel out the issue
right away. The other half would be your NVidia card. If you have this card all
you have to do is upgrade your drivers to the new Beta version 340.43. The
driver comes handy with Autosport ready.
2)
Second
issue that could be quite an annoyance would be no game matches in the
multiplayer lobby. This means that hardly anyone from your region is playing.
This is a simple switch around:
·
Since the game doesn’t combine all regions, you
have to sort out which region is often played. The most often played region is
England, and all you have to do is change your download server to London,
England.
3)
Another issue that most players find is the
micro stuttering. This stuttering problem is not the game itself, but rather
your computer. Here are a few things that could be wrong:
·
If you have a RAM which is below 16GB then your
issue is the RAM speed. An issue causing the stuttering could also be having an
SSD in your boot drive, or your graphics are extremely high! To fix the SSD
problem is simply moving the replay folder to an HDD with a directory junction,
or just putting an empty read-only file on the spot of the replay.
4)
Fourthly, there are problems with a sound bug;
cracking. Simple and easy mistake on your game:
·
The AI Sound Limit and the Voice Limit are
probably set on low. Bump these up, and you shouldn’t be experiencing this
problem again!
5)
Experiencing a blur while in cockpit? How
irritating this is! Here is the download to the cockpit blur:
·
http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/cockpit-cam-no-blur.2553/
; simply press the green Download Now button which is 789.9 KB.
6)
Is GRID Autosport annoyingly in windows mode?
Want to get it out of this view? Here’s what’s wrong:
·
You can manually set GRID Autosport to full screen
“true” in the
hardware_settings_config.xml file located C:\Users\[user]\Documents\My
Games\GRID Autosport\hardwaresettings
·
Also check if you have teamviewer running. If you do, close the program,
and restart your game.
7) Do you have to reconfigure
your controls every time you start GRID Autosport? Simple fix!
·
When you start the game it always asks to press start or enter, well don’t
hit enter on your keyboard. Hit any button on your gamepad or wheel until the
game accepts it.
8) Having a down force issue with
open wheeler? No technical issue here, just how you are playing the game.
Here’s a quick suggestion:
·
You are losing the back end of your vehicle because you are either locking
the steering or you are turning in too much by giving the car too much power.
Try driving the car with a bit more ease.
9) There are some problems with
the game crashing after installation. If you are having this problem simple do
this:
·
Delete the game, and then reinstall it. There are probably missing files
during the first installation. Then, restart Steam completely.
10) Lastly, there are problems
with the racing wheel. The game does support Logitech MOMO Racing Wheel, but
you might not be up to date.
